Executive Coaching
Focused Guidance
Our coaching process facilitates clients’ movement from their current situation to their desired future destination using an evidence-based methodology. We work with leaders and
aspiring leaders in the healthcare sector, including academic medicine, health systems, higher education, non-profits, and the pharma/biotech industry.
Why coaching?
Often, those in executive or management positions have developed habits that have been successful but may get in their way as the demands of their roles increase. Over time, a lack of awareness can create blind spots and immunity to change. Leaders may get ‘stuck’ or find that their effectiveness has diminished. Through a trusting and confidential coaching relationship, leaders can achieve breakthroughs in their levels of efficiency and career growth.
Areas of focus:
- Overcoming barriers to change
- Navigating and managing change
- Exploring new career road maps
- On-boarding
- Emotional Intelligence
- Self and relationship management
- Receiving and giving feedback
- Building high-performance teams
Our executive coaching process helps leaders and aspiring leaders operate with higher emotional intelligence, become more open to feedback and change, communicate with greater clarity, and think strategically.
The “Great Road” Approach

- Milestones on your journey include:
Initial exploration of felt needs, exploring goals for coaching, determining fit - Reaching agreement on coaching relationship and goals

- Feedback Debrief
- Setting Goals for Improvement
- Feed-forward stakeholder explorations
“We spend a lot of time teaching leaders what to do. We don’t spend enough time teaching leaders what to stop. Half the leaders I have met don’t need to learn what to do, they need to learn what to stop doing.” – Peter Drucker
Focused Vertical Leadership Development:
Most leadership development focuses on horizontal learning – adding additional information, skills and competencies.
Vertical leadership development can more rapidly produce results, by focusing on leaders’ abilities to think in more complex, systemic, strategic and interdependent ways.
